We were promised that if we just kept our heads down, got good grades and “did our job,” that it would all work out. That there was a predictable path to success. We thought we’d be safe.

But for many of us, it doesn’t feel safe at all.

Here’s the bad news...

If you work at a job that can be learned by anyone with "proper training," that job is going to become increasingly less valuable until it goes away entirely.

But here’s the good news...

The victors in the millennial generation will be those who are willing to take risks, find creative solutions to real problems and most importantly — take initiative without being asked.

Freelance Domination is a transformational, collaborative workshop that uses videos, group discussion, reading assignments and more to teach you how to develop valuable skills, find paying clients and build a remarkable business in the New Economy.

Not easy. But so worth it.

Freelancing is harder than having a regular job.

It’s harder because in order for clients to pay you, they’ll have to trust you first. And sometimes trust can take a while to earn. Most people would rather find an easier way to make a living. Life is challenging enough, isn’t it?

Sure, it’s easier to work at a place where somebody can tell you exactly when to show up, what to do and how to feel about it. But maybe easier shouldn’t be our goal.

Was it easy for the 20,000 people at a Ford Motor plant in Detroit who all lost their jobs on the same day?

Was it easy for the newly-minted young attorney who studied hard for years and graduated at the top of her class, but can’t find a single job that excites her?

It turns out that taking the path of least resistance is actually the express lane to a mediocre life of limited options and diminished earning potential. Freelancers tackle this truth head on and aren’t afraid to get dirty along the road to success.

How is the program designed?

The program is designed with you in mind. Using cutting-edge tools like Slack, Discourse, Zoom and Basecamp, we’ve designed a surprisingly intimate experience that lowers the barrier between information and action.

Our hope is that it will change what you think is possible for your life.

For 6 weeks, you’ll be slowly dripped the fundamentals of what it takes to start and grow a profitable freelance business doing meaningful work. The lessons will come in the form of videos, audio recordings and articles.

You will also be given an recommended reading list and list of supplemental materials.

You will have daily access to your peers to get instantaneous feedback on your ideas and weekly meetings in small groups to coordinate, brainstorm and problem solve.

It’s a program designed to work as hard as you do.

Here's a partial list of what we'll cover in the lessons:

• Brainstorming and idea validation: how to identify which ideas to pursue.
• Skill development: how to build your business while still learning your craft.
• Positioning: how to stand out in a crowded market, and when to change markets.
• Finding clients: not just any clients. The right ones for you.
• Pitching: how to show a potential client your value without lowering your standards.
• Negotiation: the art of getting what paid what you deserve.
• Trust and integrity: how to build loyal, long term relationships with clients who refer you for life.

But that's just the beginning. There will be a ton of user-generated content from from the weekly lessons, including in-depth discussions based on specific actions you'll be asked to take each week. This workshop is designed to stretch you.

The best way to get the most from this program is to contribute more than you take, answer more than you ask and be present. It's time to dive in.

Why are only 150 students allowed per semester?

Because we care. And because we can. The purpose of this program isn't to make as much money a possible, or even to have the most students. It's about making the biggest impact for each and every person who joins.

With 150 students, it's still possible to form smaller groups, while still having enough collective brainpower to solve problems and keep the conversation moving.

Not too many. Not to few. Just right.

What if I fall behind?

You cannot “fall behind” in this program. Content is dripped out weekly for 6 weeks and you can access it forever. The discussions and live workshops with actual human beings are the real value of the program — and those continue after the initial 6 weeks.

When does it start?

The summer semester officially begins on July 31st and runs for 6 weeks until September 10th, 2017. After the semester is over, you’ll have access to all the digital content forever.
